Hello!
I consider myself a global nomad as I grew up across three countries in different continents: India, USA and Switzerland. Each country has its own culture, societal norms and cues. In order to adjust well and succeed socially and academically, I had to learn to appreciate diverse and different perspectives. Attempting to put myself in other people’s shoes, so to speak, became second nature and instinctive. I continuously made and make observations of peoples’ reactions to various stimuli which informed me on their likes or dislikes. Over time, this habit developed into a desire to know what sort of ideas or services would be appreciated by different people. What needs to be different, and what needs to be similar for something to be appreciated by someone from a specific place. Post my undergrad, I realized that that desire had blossomed into a passion for the field of user experience design. Most of what we interact, participate or engage with today is some sort of a user experience designed by someone to elicit a certain response, reaction or emotion.
In my free time you can find me playing tennis (a huge Roger Federer fan), baking, hiking and eating all the chocolate in the world!
